Jesus cared deeply about the poor and the downtrodden, demonstrating his compassion in tangible ways: giving sight to the blind, touching the leper, healing the sick. We value community and feel passionate about making a difference in the lives of all those who need our help and support. These initiatives are close to our hearts and we will endeavour to follow Jesus’ example reaching out to the lonely and the hurting. There is no greater calling than to serve your fellow men.
‘There is no greater contribution than to help the weak. There is no greater satisfaction than to have done it well.’
The statistics for loneliness amongst the elderly in the UK is a huge cause for concern. No one should have no one. Our aim is to reach out to those most vulnerable, isolated and lonely and provide genuine friendship and support.
God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy.
